Sutureless Eyelid Lift in Racine & Kenosha

Heavy, tired-looking upper eyelids can add years to your appearance and, in some cases, crowd the edges of your vision. For decades, the only way to correct that excess skin was traditional eyelid surgery, which meant an operating room, stitches, and potentially weeks of visible bruising.

ZipLyft™ by Osheru® changes that. At Eye Centers of Racine & Kenosha, Dr. I. Paul Singh offers this innovative, sutureless eyelid lift right in the office, so you can look naturally refreshed and be back to your life in days rather than weeks.

What Is ZipLyft?

ZipLyft™ is the first compression skin contouring, or CoCo, eyelid lift. It is a minimally invasive procedure designed to remove the excess upper eyelid skin, known as dermatochalasis, that makes the eyes look aged, heavy, or fatigued. Rather than relying on cutting, cautery, and stitches, ZipLyft™ uses a specially engineered clamp and precision blade to gently compress and remove the redundant skin, then seals the edge with a medical-grade adhesive.

The result is a smooth, natural eyelid contour achieved without the bleeding, prolonged swelling, and lengthy downtime that patients have long associated with eyelid surgery. Because it is performed under local anesthesia in a standard exam room, there is no hospital, no operating room, and no IV sedation required.

The CoCo Technology Behind ZipLyft

CoCo, short for compression skin contouring, is the patented technology that makes ZipLyft™ possible. When the device is applied to the eyelid, it creates a controlled, tourniquet-like compression that temporarily seals the small blood vessels in the treatment area. This allows the excess skin to be removed with virtually no bleeding, which in turn eliminates the need for cautery.

Once the skin is removed, the compressed edges are closed with the device and adhesive is used to support the wound. Closing without stitches means there is no suture-removal visit, less tension on the healing skin, and a fine incision tucked neatly into the natural crease of the eyelid. For most patients, the healed result is difficult to distinguish from a natural lid fold.

The Benefits of ZipLyft

ZipLyft™ was designed around the parts of eyelid surgery that patients like least: the downtime, the bruising, and the wait before feeling presentable again. Its advantages include:

A quick, in-office procedure

Most ZipLyft™ treatments are completed in approximately ten minutes per eye, under local anesthesia, without a trip to a surgical facility.

No sutures and minimal bleeding

The CoCo compression technique seals blood vessels and closes the skin automatically and adhesive is used to protect the wound, so there is very little bruising and no stitches to remove.

Rapid recovery

Many patients are socially presentable, or "event-ready," within about five to seven days, compared with the two to three weeks often needed after traditional eyelid surgery.

Natural, symmetric results

The controlled, precise nature of the device supports even, balanced outcomes and a refreshed look, not an overdone or surprised appearance.

What to Expect During Your ZipLyft Procedure

Your ZipLyft™ experience begins with a consultation, where Dr. Singh evaluates your eyelid skin, examines the underlying anatomy, and discusses what you hope to achieve. In many cases, candidacy can be confirmed in that single visit.

On the day of the procedure, the eyelid area is numbed with a local anesthetic. The ZipLyft™ device is positioned along the natural eyelid crease, gentle compression is applied, the excess skin is removed, and the edge is sealed and adhesive is applied.  Start to finish, the process usually takes only a few minutes per eye.

You will leave without visible stitches or bulky bandages. Mild swelling or pinkness in the first few days is normal with adhesive visible and typically fades quickly, revealing your refreshed result as it settles over the following week.

Am I a Candidate for ZipLyft?

ZipLyft™ is an excellent option for most adults bothered by excess or sagging upper eyelid skin that makes them look tired or older than they feel. Because the compression technique controls bleeding so effectively, many patients who take blood thinners may also be candidates, though this is always reviewed on an individual basis.

Patients who need ptosis repair, complex revision surgery, or extensive fat removal may require a different technique. The best way to find out whether ZipLyft™ is right for you is a personal evaluation.
