Dr. Jeffna Elavumkal, OD graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Business Administration. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Elavumkal completed her clinical training at several distinguished sites, including Nittany Eye Associates in State College, Pennsylvania; The Eye Center in Memphis, Tennessee; and Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Elavumkal is a member of the American Optometric Association and is especially passionate about ocular disease, with a particular focus on glaucoma, diabetic eye care, dry eye, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and pre- and post-operative management of ocular surgeries.
Originally from Chicago, Dr. Elavumkal values building meaningful relationships with her patients and strives to provide thorough, high-quality care to individuals. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking.
