Traci Kluver Testimonial

"In early 2000 I started to have some problems, my eyes were always sore and bloodshot. I had developed callouses on my eyes from wearing the contacts everyday for so many years. The doctor told me I would have to wear my glasses all the time. I could never go back to contacts. My job requires me to go in and out of a freezer several times a day. My glasses would fog up and I would have to clean them. I work in a laboratory so everything has to be sanitary. I couldn't continue on like that so I started to consider surgery to correct my vision."

"A friend of mind had the RK procedure done by Dr. Singh. He had really thick glasses and was so happy with the results. I originally talked to Dr. Singh about the RK but we decided that the LASIK procedure would be best for me since I have astigmatism. Of course, I had a little bit of hesitation, you hear horror stories and then there is the financial commitment. But Dr. Singh made me feel very comfortable and my husband and I worked the surgery into our budget. The thought of having to wear my glasses forever was the main factor in making the decision."

"I had my surgery in Milwaukee. They gave me a pill to relax. There was a woman who was having the procedure before me and her husband asked if I would like to watch, so I did. It was really neat to see what was about to happen to me. Once it was my turn, they put drops in my eyes to numb them. Dr. Singh explained everything, so I really knew what to expect. He told me to relax and be extremely still. They put a device between my eyelids to keep them open. I thought that might be uncomfortable, but it wasn't. Then he put a suction ring on my eye. He explained that there would be a few seconds when I wouldn't see anything and that was normal. He made the incision, pulled back the flap and then came the laser. I had what is called monovision so that I could see for reading and distance without glasses. Once he was done, he had me sit up in the chair. He told me to read the eye chart. Things were kind of fuzzy but I was able to read, 'We make things clear.' It was amazing. Dr. Singh checked my eyes again to make sure the flap was lined up properly and then he taped clear eye shields to my forehead to prevent me from rubbing my eyes. I went home and took a nap and I felt great; I could see so clearly. There was absolutely no pain. I felt out of this world"

"My vision is 20/15 in one eye and 20/30 in the other, together they are 20/20. It took a while to get used to that but now it is totally normal. I probably will not need glasses until I'm in my 50's or 60's for reading and that's fine with me."

"I am so happy I had the surgery. I look out my window, the window I have been looking out for over 10 years, and the colors are more vivid. It's like someone adjusted the color on my television. I keep asking myself what was I waiting for?"

"I have recommended Dr. Singh to four people now and I tell everyone who is considering the procedure, don't go to anyone else. I even pass out copies of an article the Racine Journal Times did on Dr. Singh and LASIK. There are so many fly by nights out there that charge $300 per eye. You get what you pay for, and I got the best. He has a great bedside manner and is so experienced. I felt so confident, any fears I had went away. If I knew then what I know now, I would pay double what I paid for my eyesight."
