I just had the Crystalens put in my left eye and I am thrilled beyond belief. Not only was the team at the doctors' office as well as at the hospital incredibly attentive, warm and caring, but everything is now so vivid, bright and defined. It's like I'm looking through 3-D glasses.
When I looked at my paper calendar, I thought I had mistakenly written in black ink because my pencil writing was now so dark and crisp. Even with reading glasses, I could barely read it before. Life feels so different now.
I contacted two other cataract surgeons in Milwaukee, but felt they either didn't offer what my instincts told me would work best (the Crystalens) or they had conflicting information. Not knowing what to do next, I went to the Internet and came across this site. This site attracted my attention because it featured all the lenses so I felt these doctors would be the most objective about determining which would be best for me.
I e-mailed them over a weekend and quickly got a response from Molly who forwarded my question to Dr. Paul who also quickly responded. That's unheard of with most physicians. As it turned out, Dr. Singh (Sr.) performed the surgery, which was easy (at least for me) and painless. Both doctors are very warm, patient, and informative .... and they make everything so easy to understand. They are the only ones who showed me an actual model of the Crystalens. I actually think there should be a video clip on this site of each of them speaking
briefly because once you get a sense of who they are, you quickly feel comfortable and are willing to trust.
The slight trip to Racine was definitely worth it. I highly, highly recommend these two doctors and highly encourage cataract surgery.

I forgot to mention, this is only the first eye. I still have the other
eye to do in two weeks.
